Desperate to break away from the greedy king’s imprisonment, the terrified miller’s daughter makes a deal with a little troll-like man who preys on her vulnerability. She has been ordered to spin piles of straw into gold and of course this is impossible without the little man’s help. All goes well for the miller’s daughter until one day the little man comes to fetch her most prized possession in return for his help.
